Salvador Dali

In the 1940's, Salvador Dali's name appeared in Life Magazine, 6 times in 12 months.
Dali was also featured on the cover of Time Mag twice. The Persistence of Memory painting created such a buzz, the piece was acquired by the Museum of Modern Art where it resides to this day. Salvador Dali was married to Gala, his "muse" who appears in many of his works. many female art collectors have mentioned that they like Dali better than Picasso becuase Salvador Dali put women on a pedistal, where Picasso seemed to put women in a negative light in many of his works.
Dali thought of himself and his wife Gala as a modern day Dante and Beatrice. In addition, Dali felt he was supposed to carry on the work of Simon Peter, so we see the character in many of Dali's works. The information you can acquire about Dali and his works seems endless. I will keep posting info as you requested, I am busy working full time in the art industry, but I do take time out to help collectors and answer questions.

Salvador Dali Gala Lady Gaga

Interesting, Lady Gaga who's real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, chose her name after the Queen song, Radio Gaga, but it is interesting that her name is similar to the wife of Salvador Dali. Dali was married to Gala, a self proclaimed fashion designer. Notice some of the head gear or fashion Lady Gaga wears in public and on stage, it is very similar to hats and fashion created by Gala, Dali's wife. In addition to the similarities between Gala and Lady Gaga, the use of a piano with legs fashioned after the stork legged elephants in many of Dali's works and then the recent image of her wearing a telephone on her head, make it clear that she is inspired by and pays homage to the last master of the 20th Century, Salvador Dali.
